    Community Volunteer Free Income Tax Clinics for Low and Modest Income Individuals

    Are you Eliigible?

    You may be eligible if you have a modest income and a simple tax situation.

    A modest income means you total family income is less than the amount show in the chart.

    Family size

    • 1 person, total family income is under $35,000
    • 2 person, total family income is under $45,000
    • 3 person, total family income is under $47,500
    • 4 person, total family income is under $50,000

    Simple tax situation

    Your tax situation is simple if you have no income or if your income comes for any of these sources:

    • employment
    • pension
    • benefits such as CPP, disability insurance, employment insurance and social assistance
    • registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs)
    • scholarships, fellowships, bursaries or grants
    • interest (under $1,000)

    Your tax situation is not simple (not eligible) if you:

    • are self-employed or have employment expenses
    • have business or rental income and expenses
    • have capital gains or losses
    • file for bankruptcy in the tax year (or the year before, if that return has not yet been filed)
    • are completing a tax return for a deceased person

    What you need:

    • Bring personal identification
    • Bring all tax slips, rent or property tax receipts, charitable donations, pharmancy summary for prescriptions and other related documents
    • Your documents will be returned to you by mail

    Cocoa Club 6 Ages 6-10 years

    This after school program welcomes children for a small craft and hot cocoa and a cookie to enjoy with friends.  We are running 2 sessions to ensure everyone gets a spot!  No registration required.

    Story Time Ages 3-5 years

    ***New Time***
    It is a great way to start early literacy learning by hearing words, letter sounds, and pronunciation. This program is designed to promote the love of books and reading. The small take away craft each day helps to develop the child's fine motor skills.  No registration required.

    Tween Scene

    This after school program will be a dream for youth to hang out, meet up with friends, and participate in a different activity each week. A hot drink and snacks provided!

    Toddler Time 0-36 months

    Sing along to songs, follow along with a story reading, poems, themes, fingerplays and rhymes for you to sing along with your child. This interactive program is designed with the repetitive play concept in mind. No registration required.
