Interlibrary Loans
Didn't find what you were looking for in our catalogue?
Looking for a book or movie that we don't own? We can try to order it through Inter-library Loan (ILLO). This service provided by Ontario Library Service allows us to search and borrow from other libraries in Ontario for the item you would like to request. Materials will be delivered to the Grand Valley Public Library for your use.
Interlibrary loan
- Search over 170 libraries
- Search any time of the day or night
- Search from any Internet terminal
- Search for materials not found in your library
Certain restrictions do apply. Materials requested must be:
- Not owned by the Grand Valley Public Library
- At least six months old
- Not in high demand in other libraries
- Not in fragile condition or rare
- In agreement with the other libraries' policies
How do you place a request?
- Place your request with the Staff.
- Place your own request.
Place your own request (books only)
To place your own Inter-Library Loan request you need to have an Inter-library loan account. Create or own account or contact the ILLO staff to send an email to reset your password for access to the Inter-Library Loan Portal (D2D).
Cancelling or Renewing a Request
Requests cannot be cancelled or renewed by the patron on-line. Please contact the Grand Valley Public Library for renewals and cancelling.
