Starting Monday, May 26, representatives from the Town of Grand Valley will be conducting a Dog Count in our municipality.
In accordance with By-law 2014-46, the Canine Control by-law, the Town requires dog licensing, kennel licensing, and requires all owners to properly care for their dogs.
During this Dog Count, staff will be going door-to-door to provide information about the licensing and by-law requirements. Brochures about licensing will be left at all properties. Staff will also note the presence of dogs and follow up with any owners whose dogs are not on the Town’s registry.
Information collected during the Dog Count will be used only for the purposes of the Town’s Canine Control by-law.
