On the 16th day of July, 2024 the Council of the Town of Grand Valley passed a municipal-wide development charges By-law No. 2024-33 under section 2 (1) of the Development Charges Act, 1997, S.O., 1997 c. 27, as amended.
The Town of Grand Valley is pleased to open its new Well 5 at Concession 2/3. The 2.8-million-dollar project was funded by the collection of development charges from local developers.
The Town of Grand Valley hereby notifies and advises all local residents that Grand Valley Bridge 10 located on Sideroad 27 and 28, approximately 950m South of Concession Road 12 and 13 will be:

Revised Official Plan and Zoning By-Law Amendments to permit a four-storey multiple residential building as a permitted use.
On Tuesday, June 11, 2024 the Council of the Town of Grand Valley will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.
A Town initiated Zoning By-law Amendment to permit reduced lot sizes, reduced lot coverage and maximum dwelling size to permit a residential subdivision on private services.
On April 23, 2204, the Council of the Town of Grand Valley passed By-Law 2024-21, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990, c.P.13, as amended to restrict the keeping of chickens and other birds within the urban area of Grand Valley and the Estate Residential and Hamlet Residential zones.
The Town of Grand Valley reduced load restrictions were lifted in full May 1st.

A Proposed Amendment (Z01-2024) to the Town’s Zoning By-law (2009-10, as amended) to prohibit the keeping of chickens in non-agricultural zones in the Town of Grand Valley.
