Winter Programs 2025

Programs run from September 29th-December 19th . No programs run during November 10th-21st for the book sale

Baby & Toddler Time -Ages 0-36 months, Fridays 11:00am-11:30am starting back October 3rd, 2025
Sing along to songs, follow along with a story reading, poems, themes, fingerplays and rhymes for you to sing along with your child. This interactive program is designed with the repetitive play concept in mind. No registration required.

1000 Books Before Kindergarten - on Beanstack 
The concept is simple; the rewards are priceless.  Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler.  The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yea, you can repeat books) before your little one starts kindergarten.  Prizes for every 100 books read.

Story Time -Ages 3-5 years, Wednesdays 3:15pm-4pm starting back October 1st
It is a great way to start early literacy learning by hearing words, letter sounds, and pronunciation. This program is designed to promote the love of books and reading. The small take away craft each day helps to develop the child's fine motor skills.  No registration required.   

Cocoa Club - Ages 6-10 years, Tuesdays 3:15pm-4:00pm and 4:15pm-5:00pm starting back September 30th.  This after school program welcomes children for a small craft and hot cocoa and a cookie to enjoy with friends.  We are running 2 sessions to ensure everyone gets a spot!  No registration required.

Tween Scene - Ages 11+, Thursdays 3:15pm-5:00pm starting back October 2nd 2025.
This after school program will be a dream for youth to hang out, meet up with friends, and participate in a different activity each week. A hot drink and snacks provided!  No registration required.

Let's get Cooking - grades 5-8, Wednesdays 4:00-5:30pm starting back October 2nd 2025.  
Supported by Grand Valley Home Hardware, Greenwood Family Fund at Dufferin Community Foundation  This new program will allow for general food safety, basic food preparation, develop culinary independence and skills and having fun with food! The cost of this program is $30.00 for 6 weeks and the participants get to take their creations home! Registration is required and space is limited.   Registration starts September 12th, Please call the library to register.

Holiday Break Programs

Stuffy Sleepover ages 3-7 Monday December 29th 11:00am-12:00pm

Children ages 3-7 years are invited to come for a story time hour with their favorite stuffy, where we will have stories, a small craft, and get our stuffies all cozied up for a sleepover here at the library! Make sure it is a stuffy that your child can leave for the night!  Call the library to register.

Lego Club ages 5+, Monday December 29th 1:00-2:30pm

Join us for Lego challenges, fun building and a fun holiday break fun!  Call the library to register.

Jewelry Making ages 11+, Tuesday December 30th 11:00-12:00pm

Bracelets, necklaces, earrings, come and make some cool creations! Call the library to register.

Drop in Teen Pizza ages 13+ Tuesday December 30th 2:00-3:00pm

No Strings attached....no programming just hang out with friends, catch up after the holidays and grab a slice!

Noon Years at Noon ages 4-9 years old, Wednesday December 31st 11:00am-12:15pm

Join us for a New Year's Party just for kids.  Fun activities, crafts and games all with a countdown at 12! Call the library to register.
