TD SUMMER READING CLUB Travel the Globe : An Epic Journey through the Library for ages 0-18

TD Summer Reading Club is Canada’s biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests, and all abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada.  It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators and stories. It’s designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way – the key to building a lifelong love of reading.

Sign up with the Grand Valley Public Library for a cool swag bag (limited quantities) and to be a part of our weekly reading draw to win great prizes!

We use a cool way to keep track of all your books in the TD Summer Reading Challenge, and it's called Beanstack! It is an online and/or mobile platform in which you will track your books,  win badges, and do fun activities. If you have been a part of TD Summer Reading Club before, you might remember you filled out ballots for every book read, with Beanstack that is automatic, for every book you read, your name goes into the weekly draw!

Summer Story Time for ages 3-5 years

Join us every Monday morning from 11:00-11:45am to enjoy a story or 2, a small craft activity with songs and play! Registration is required.

Crafty Kids for ages 5-9 years

Tween Tuesdays for ages 11+ years

Join us every Tuesday afternoon from 2:00-3:00pm for some fun for older kids, crafts activities, game and more!  Registration is required.

WEDNESDAYS

TD Summer Club 5-12 years

Join us every Wednesday from 11:00am-12:00pm for our weekly reading prize, literacy games, and super fun! This program is for children who have signed up to the TD Summer Reading program.

STEM Adventures for ages 9-13 years

Join us for a different Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematic adventures each week every Wednesday from 2:00-3:00pm. Registration is required.

THURSDAYS

Young explorers for ages 5-9 years

Join us Thursday mornings from 11:00am-12:00pm.  Get your passports ready and join us for a trip around the world each week as we visit a different country and complete activities and games from that country! Registration is required.

Earth Guardians for ages 7-11 years

Join us Thursday afternoons from 2:00-3:00pm in partnership with Climate Action Dufferin, we will have a different program each week about how to be kind and loving to our planet full of crafts, activities and experiments. Registration is required.

Shake Rattle & Roar, Recommended for ages 0-5 years with a caregiver

Join us every Friday at 11:00am for stories, singing, instruments and fun geared for children under 5, 

Older siblings welcome. Drop in program, no registration necessary.

End of Summer Party, Thursday August 21st

1:00-3:30pm *at the Soccer Field behind the Grand Valley Community Centre*

Join us for an end of Summer Party to celebrate our fabulous summer! We will have pizza, activities, prizes and best of all, A FOAM PARTY from 2:00-3:00pm!
