Notice of Intention to Pass a Local Improvement Charge By-Law
The Corporation of the Town of Grand Valley intends to pass a local improvement charges by-law to construct a municipal road know as Hill Town Drive in the Monticello rural settlement area at the Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Grand Valley Council meeting.

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Town of Grand Valley passed By-law 2025-31 on May 27, 2025, under section 34 of the Planning Act, 1990, c.P. 13, as amended,
PURPOSE & EFFECT OF BY-LAW
The purpose and effect of By-law 2025-31, is to rezone the subject properties to a site-specific Multiple Residential (RM) zone with an increase in height and density, to permit a 4-storey 18-unit residential building.
SUBJECT LANDS
The property affected by this amendment is located at 40, 50 and 60 Emma Street South (Roll #’s 352000, 352100, 352200), as shown on the key map attached.

Starting Monday, May 26, representatives from the Town of Grand Valley will be conducting a Dog Count in our municipality.
In accordance with By-law 2014-46, the Canine Control by-law, the Town requires dog licensing, kennel licensing, and requires all owners to properly care for their dogs.
During this Dog Count, staff will be going door-to-door to provide information about the licensing and by-law requirements. Brochures about licensing will be left at all properties. Staff will also note the presence of dogs and follow up with any owners whose dogs are not on the Town’s registry.
Information collected during the Dog Count will be used only for the purposes of the Town’s Canine Control by-law.

With a potential Canada Post strike looming after May 22nd, residents and businesses in Grand Valley will face delays in receiving paper bills including property tax bills, invoices and public notices. Despite the postal service disruption, tax bills and other notices will continue to be issued and payment due dates will remain unchanged.
