Potential Canada Post Strike
With a potential Canada Post strike looming after May 22nd, residents and businesses in Grand Valley may face delays in receiving paper bills including property tax bills, invoices and public notices. Despite the postal service disruption, tax bills and other notices will continue to be issued and payment due dates will remain unchanged.
To avoid delays, penalties or missed notices the Town strongly recommends using the following alternative options:
For Property Tax Bills
- Contact us by phone: (519) 928-5652 (option 0) or email taxes@townofgrandvalley.ca with the Subject "Tax Bill" to request/receive tax bills electronically and provide:
- Owner's Name
- Complete Property Address(s)
- 19-digit Roll Number (found on your previous tax bill)
- Email address you would like us to use.
For Property Tax Payments
- Enroll in our pre-authorized payment plan. Pre-Authorized Tax Payments (PAP) Program
- Call the municipal Office at (519) 928-5652 (option 0) during regular business hours. We can accept VISA and Mastercard payments over the phone.
- Telephone or on-line banking
- At your Bank or Financial Institution
- In-person at the Municipal Office - 5 Main Street North, Grand Valley, during regular business hours
- Drop box after hours located at the Municipal Office - 5 Main Street North, Grand Valley (do not place cash in the drop box)

The Town of Grand Valley advises residents do not mail anything to the Town if a strike is expected or occurring.
Important: It is the account holder's responsibility to ensure all payments are made by their respective due dates, regardless of any mail service disruptions.
