Nominations for municipal election open on May 2

Candidates can file nominations for the October 24, 2022 municipal election. Nominations shall be filed in person at the Town of Grand Valley Municipal Office at 5 Main Street North, Grand Valley, ON. The prescribed nomination form shall be accompanied by the filing fee ($200 for Mayor or $100 for all other offices). 

Nominations must be filed in person by the candidate or by their agent during normal office hours (8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday) on or after Monday May 2, 2022 until Nomination Day on August 19, 2022. On Nomination Day, nominations will be accepted between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

During this period, the Town will accept nominations for the offices of:

• Mayor (1 to be elected)
• Deputy Mayor (1 to be elected)
• Councillor (3 to be elected)
